Mi Lan Xiang Dan Cong Oolong - Honey Orchid Aroma

This is the Dan Cong that made the style famous. Mi Lan Xiang, or "Honey Orchid Aroma," is what most people think of when they hear Phoenix Mountain oolong—and for good reason.

Made from the Bai Ye varietal, these leaves are noticeably larger and broader than other Dan Congs. The processing takes about a month, and you can see the care in the deep brown color of the dry leaf. When brewed, the leaves stay brown rather than turning green, which tells you this tea's been given a good roast. That extra oxidation is what brings out those signature honey and orchid notes everyone loves.

Our version comes from 20 to 80 year old trees and bushes in the Middle Mountain area of Wu Dong. It's high grade stuff—creamy, complex, with that unmistakable orchid fragrance that really fills the room. The taste lingers long after you've finished your cup.

This tea is a testament to the skill of the tea master who processed it. Getting that perfect balance of sweetness, floral aroma, and body takes real expertise and patience.
