Si Ji Chun, or "Four Seasons Spring," gets its name because it can be harvested year-round and still maintain quality. But spring harvest is when this cultivar really shines, and this batch from Zhushan village in Nantou is a great example of why.

This version has been given a light roast that adds just enough warmth without covering up the cultivar's natural character. Si Ji Chun is known for being incredibly floral and aromatic, and that's all here—fresh orchid notes, a clean sweetness, and a bright, lively quality that spring teas are famous for.

The light roasting rounds out the edges and adds a subtle toasted grain note that balances the florals nicely. The liquor is a clear golden-green, and the taste is smooth and refreshing with a lingering sweetness that doesn't quit. It's lighter-bodied than heavily roasted oolongs but has more depth than completely unroasted versions.

Zhushan is one of Nantou's solid tea-producing areas, with good elevation and climate for growing quality oolong. The leaves are tightly rolled and open up beautifully over multiple steeps—you can easily get 5-6 good infusions from the same leaves.

This is fresh 2025 spring tea, so you're getting it at its peak. If you want an everyday oolong that's floral, easy to drink, and won't break the bank, Si Ji Chun delivers.
